CCDAK Apache Kafka Developer Practice Tests: Safe Recovery

About Course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

Workers finish out of order, a connector stops, or a delivery result is uncertain. What can you safely commit or retry? These practice tests for Confluent Certified Developer for Apache Kafka (CCDAK) help you reason about state, progress and recovery before choosing an application action.

Understand the contract behind the API

Practise partition order, event identity, keys, retention and client access. Work through producer results, consumer offset frontiers, schemas, compatibility and transactions. Kafka Streams questions connect joins, windows, clocks and state recovery; Kafka Connect scenarios examine source and sink progress, converters, transformations and error policies.

Every option receives feedback, alongside an overall explanation and study tip. A recovery offset valid for one partition does not prove that another partition's history is still retained. These explanations help you preserve the relevant identity and distinguish successful transport from completed application work.

The 360 questions form four focused 60-question sets and two 60-question mixed mocks with 90-minute timers. Review a topic first, trace the deciding condition for uncertain choices, then use a mixed test to reassess the principles under changed failure conditions.

Kafka development familiarity is recommended. Technical examples identify their client context; this course does not claim that the exam mandates a particular Kafka release. The mock length and 80% benchmark are author-defined. Selection questions adapt reasoning without reproducing every matching or ordering interaction. This independent resource contains no official examination questions and is not endorsed by Confluent.

What Will You Learn?

  • Choose keys, partitioning and cleanup policies that match ordering and recovery requirements.
  • Derive safe consumer progress and producer delivery outcomes across retries, crashes and ownership changes.
  • Select serialization contracts and reason about schema evolution across retained writer versions.
  • Evaluate Streams joins, state recovery and event-time behavior under explicit conditions.
  • Configure Connect data paths and distinguish record errors, task failures and external delivery boundaries.
  • Interpret application metrics and select tests that exercise the behavior being claimed.
