About Course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

An unusual port is not proof of malware. A completed patch task is not proof that a vulnerability is gone. Prepare for CompTIA CySA+ V4, CS0-004, by practicing how to separate observed facts from assumptions before choosing an investigation, treatment or response.

Follow the analyst's workflow

Interpret logs and tool output, correlate identities and cloud activity, plan vulnerability assessments, compare risk treatments, preserve evidence and communicate findings. Questions also examine AI use and risks, EPSS, software supply-chain assurance and security-operation automation within the CS0-004 scope.

The 350 original questions are organized into four focused tests and two 85-question, 165-minute mixed mocks. The focused sets develop Security Operations, Vulnerability Management, Incident Response, and Reporting and Communication.

Check the evidence behind the count or timeline

Every question includes option-level feedback, a reasoning explanation and a study suggestion. Log, configuration and safe scripting examples ask you to inspect details such as timezone offsets or case-sensitive filtering before interpreting a result. After each miss, identify the missing evidence or incorrect comparison and revisit that task.

Foundational networking, operating-system and security knowledge is recommended. Some exposure to logs or vulnerability workflows helps, but no paid lab or specialist tool installation is required.

The mocks use the exam's published maximum length and time, with approximate domain allocations. They remain selectable-answer practice and do not reproduce interactive PBQs. The 80% study target does not convert to CompTIA's scaled passing score. This independent course has no CompTIA endorsement.

What Will You Learn?

  • Correlate endpoint, network, cloud and identity evidence while distinguishing indicators from confirmed conclusions.
  • Choose and interpret analysis tools, log formats, packet fields and safe scripting operations.
  • Evaluate threat intelligence, build testable hunt hypotheses and control AI-assisted analysis risks.
  • Plan authorized vulnerability scans and recognize gaps in scope, access, method and visibility.
  • Prioritize vulnerabilities using severity, exploitation context, likelihood, exposure and business impact.
  • Distinguish containment, eradication and recovery while preserving reliable incident evidence.
  • Create risk-focused reports, clear handovers and consistently defined security metrics.
