AWS DEA-C01 Data Engineer Practice Tests: Pipeline Decisions

About Course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

Several AWS services can appear to solve the same data problem. Arrival latency, partition-key order, query access, recovery time or a governance restriction may decide the answer. These AWS Certified Data Engineer – Associate DEA-C01 practice tests help you compare those details before choosing a design or repair.

Distinguish plausible solutions

  • Choose ingestion and transformation approaches for streaming and batch workloads.
  • Match storage and query options to access patterns, maintenance and performance needs.
  • Diagnose operational evidence, retries, concurrency and recovery constraints.
  • Separate catalog discovery from permission to read data, and apply governance requirements.

The DEA-C01 v1.1 scope includes Iceberg, vector search, LLM-assisted processing, and SageMaker Catalog and Unified Studio decisions. These topics are connected to the data engineer's role rather than treated as service-name recognition.

Each option has feedback, alongside an overall explanation and study guidance. Increasing consumer parallelism, for example, is useful only if ordering and downstream-capacity requirements still hold. Reviewing rejected alternatives shows why a reasonable-looking change does not meet the requirement.

Revise by domain, then combine decisions

The 312 questions include 182 across four domain drills and two 65-question mixed practice exams with 130 minutes each. Start with a weak domain, review missed and guessed answers, then attempt a mixed test without notes. Use the second test after addressing the first test's gaps.

AWS data-service familiarity is recommended. These independent written questions are not hosted pipeline labs or official AWS exam items. The 80% threshold is a study checkpoint, not an AWS score conversion or readiness guarantee.

What Will You Learn?

  • Choose ingestion and transformation patterns from source behavior, latency, replay, and cost constraints.
  • Compare storage and catalog designs using access patterns, lifecycle, schema evolution, and data sharing needs.
  • Diagnose workflow, query, monitoring, and data-quality failures from observable symptoms.
  • Apply identity, permission, encryption, audit, privacy, and regional-control boundaries to data pipelines.
  • Explain why close alternatives fail, using the feedback on each answer option.
