CCAT Practice Tests: Reason Accurately Under Time Pressure

About Course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

On a short aptitude test, recognising the useful clue and moving on can matter as much as knowing a formula. These Criteria Cognitive Aptitude Test (CCAT) practice tests help you develop clear reasoning methods, then apply them under a tight timer.

Build methods before testing speed

Practise precise word meanings, relationships and sentence context; proportions, rates, averages, basic algebra and logic; and spatial rotations, reflections, patterns and outlier judgements. Visible grids and shapes support the spatial questions. The tasks ask you to use the stated conditions rather than assume that a familiar pattern must apply.

Each question provides answer-by-answer feedback, an overall explanation and a study tip. Review why a word fits the sentence rather than its most familiar definition, which unknown a calculation actually asks for, or which transformation preserves the relevant visual relationship.

The 350 questions comprise verbal and math/logic drills of 75 questions each, a 50-question spatial drill, and three mixed 50-question mocks with 15-minute timers. Use the drills in short blocks, explain your method, then attempt a mock without a calculator. Afterward, separate reasoning errors from time-management choices before the next attempt.

These original exercises prepare you for the public CCAT task categories; they do not reproduce Criteria's official questions, norms or interface. Mock domain allocations and the 70% review target are course design choices. Practice percentages cannot be converted into official percentiles or hiring outcomes. Basic arithmetic and English reading are helpful. This course is independent of Criteria.

What Will You Learn?

  • Distinguish precise word meanings, relationships, and sentence clues.
  • Solve proportions, basic algebra, rates, and averages using mental methods.
  • Separate necessary conclusions from possibilities under stated logical rules.
  • Track rotations, reflections, visual patterns, and exceptions in visible diagrams.
  • Practice pacing with three mixed 50-question, 15-minute mocks.
  • Review errors using the deciding condition rather than memorizing answer positions.
