ISTQB CTFL v4.0 Practice Tests: Apply Testing Techniques

About Course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

Can you identify the missing boundary test, follow a state transition or turn an unclear defect report into useful evidence? These ISTQB Foundation Level practice tests help you move from recognising testing terms to explaining a testing decision.

Practise objectives, principles, activities, roles, levels and lifecycle approaches. Test-design questions work through equivalence partitions, boundary values, decision tables, state transitions and coverage. Static testing, planning, risk, estimation, monitoring and tools connect technique choices with the information a team needs.

The course contains 420 questions: three focused banks with 300 questions in total and three separate 40-question, 60-minute mocks. Every option has feedback, with worked reasoning, a review takeaway and study guidance. Small tables and traces ask you to distinguish a covered rule from an input combination that merely repeats it.

Use the focused banks in short sessions rather than treating each large set as one exam sitting. Mark mistakes and correct guesses, explain the decisive rule, revisit the syllabus and reserve a fresh mock for a later timed attempt.

The course targets CTFL v4.0 using syllabus v4.0.1. The mocks follow the published chapter and K-level allocations; the larger banks are study resources. Basic software-development familiarity is useful, but programming experience and paid testing tools are not required. This independent question-based course is not official ISTQB training or a source of live exam items. Practice results are revision signals rather than a guarantee of passing, and provider-approved additional time is separate from these timers.

What Will You Learn?

  • Distinguish testing objectives, principles, activities and responsibilities in realistic team situations.
  • Choose test levels, test types and lifecycle practices that address a stated testing need.
  • Apply partitions, boundary values, decision tables and state transitions to concrete test-design tasks.
  • Interpret coverage, review findings, risk information and estimates to make testing decisions.
  • Improve test priorities and defect reports using explicit constraints and useful evidence.
  • Use three timed mocks and option-by-option feedback to identify gaps across all six syllabus chapters.
