ISTQB CTAL-TTA v4.0: Applied Technical Practice Tests

About Course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

Does the selected input reach the missing coverage? Does a condition independently change the decision? Does the tool result support the conclusion being claimed? Prepare for ISTQB Advanced Level Technical Test Analyst, CTAL-TTA v4.0, by working through the technical reasoning behind those questions.

Apply the test technique to the risk

Practice risk and white-box techniques, static and dynamic analysis, technical quality and test planning, reviews, tools and automation. Short Python examples and explicit assumptions let you trace coverage and code behaviour instead of relying on labels alone.

The 330 original questions include four 60-question focused tests and two 45-question, 120-minute mocks. The mocks follow the published chapter, learning-objective-group and K2/K3/K4 distributions.

Inspect the deciding evidence

Every option has feedback, and each question includes an overall explanation and a study suggestion. Distinguish a product-behaviour risk from a missing test resource, sparse defect history from proven low likelihood, and an observation from evidence of a non-functional requirement.

Foundation-level testing knowledge and practical development or testing exposure are recommended. You should be able to read Boolean expressions, short code and technical specifications; no additional software purchase is needed.

The practice platform grades items equally. The 80% training target does not reproduce the official 51-out-of-78 weighted passing calculation. Confirm prerequisites and timing eligibility with your provider. This independent preparation follows the v4.0 terminology and contains no official exam questions or ISTQB accreditation.

What Will You Learn?

  • Derive inputs for statement, decision, MC/DC and multiple condition coverage using explicit feasibility and evaluation assumptions.
  • Analyze control flow, cyclomatic complexity and definition/use/resource lifecycles without equating a metric with correctness.
  • Select and plan technical tests for security, reliability, performance, maintainability, portability and coexistence risks.
  • Apply supplied architecture and code checklists to concrete design and implementation evidence.
  • Construct business-level test keywords and evaluate automation state, interfaces, maintenance costs and results.
  • Interpret performance, web, model-based, component/build and mobile-tool evidence within its actual scope.
