ISTQB CTAL-TAE v2.0 Practice Tests: Evidence and Oracles

About Course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

An unattended suite can pass while its evidence is incomplete or its oracle no longer matches the product. These Test Automation Engineering practice tests help you decide whether the solution is controllable, maintainable and capable of supporting the required conclusion.

Practise scope and tool selection, testability, architecture boundaries, reusable testware and pilot risks. Pipeline and reporting scenarios connect release identity, configuration, execution observations and relevant risk. Verification and improvement questions examine oracle behaviour, failure triage and the continuing maintenance that automation does not remove.

The 300 questions comprise four focused sets and two 40-question, 90-minute mocks. Every alternative has feedback, with condition-based reasoning and a study prompt. Both mocks use the 29 learning objectives and the recorded 20 K2, 14 K3 and 6 K4 allocation to combine understanding, application and analysis.

Begin with focused practice and explain the evidence needed before accepting a result. Review errors and guesses against the v2.0 syllabus, then attempt a mock without consulting feedback. Use the second mock after addressing the reasoning gaps.

CTFL-level knowledge and practical automation, interface, test-data and CI/CD familiarity are recommended; confirm certification and experience requirements with your provider. The official exam uses 66 weighted points with 43 required, whereas these tests score items equally and use a 75% study goal. This independent resource is not the retired 2016 syllabus or separate Automation Strategy certification, provides no engineering lab and does not guarantee an exam result.

What Will You Learn?

  • Evaluate automation objectives, limitations and lifecycle costs against a concrete testing need.
  • Select controllable and observable SUT interfaces, representative environments and suitable tools.
  • Choose architecture boundaries, automation approaches and reusable design patterns.
  • Evaluate pilot evidence, deployment risks, resource capacity and maintainability choices.
  • Place automation in CI/CD pipelines and maintain consistent release and configuration evidence.
  • Collect and correlate execution evidence, interpret results and report relevant risk.
  • Verify automation components, test oracles and suite reliability, then prioritize improvements.
  • Practise the 29 v2.0 learning objectives in two mocks with the official question and cognitive-level allocation.
