SC-500 Practice Tests: Apply Cloud & AI Security Controls

About Course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

A valid identity may still lack permission, and a private endpoint does not automatically fix DNS or database grants. These SC-500 practice tests help you connect cloud and AI security controls with the specific access path or risk they must address.

Follow protection across the workload

Practise identity, access and governance; storage, databases and networking; compute, applications and AI security; posture, Sentinel and Security Copilot. Cases connect Entra roles, PIM, application permissions, managed identities, network controls, data protection, guardrails and monitoring evidence.

Each option receives feedback, with an overall explanation and review suggestion. Expiry of one PIM activation, for example, does not remove a separate permanent group grant. Use these distinctions to assess the permissions and controls still in force rather than infer complete protection from one successful change or detected signal.

The 300 questions include four focused 50-question tests and two integrated 50-question written simulations with 120-minute training windows. Start with the stage where your reasoning is least consistent, review errors and guesses, then attempt an integrated test without notes after revisiting the relevant rule.

The scope follows SC-500: Implementing End-to-End Security Controls for Cloud and AI Workloads, using the stated May 2026 English guide rather than the former AZ-500 outline. Azure and security foundations are recommended. Simulation length and the 80% target are course practice settings. This independent resource includes no hosted security environment, official examination questions or Microsoft endorsement.

What Will You Learn?

  • Distinguish authentication, consent, managed identity selection, and resource authorization in Microsoft Entra and Azure.
  • Choose Key Vault, policy, RBAC, and backup controls using the required operations and scope.
  • Diagnose storage and SQL access by separating network admission, data permissions, encryption, and audit delivery.
  • Evaluate NSGs, private endpoints, Private Link, VPNs, Virtual WAN, and Azure Firewall traffic paths.
  • Apply current AI security boundaries across SharePoint, Purview, Agent ID, Copilot Studio, Foundry, and AI threat protection.
  • Assess VM and container protection without confusing inventory, scanning, boot integrity, and runtime detection.
  • Trace Sentinel event collection, custom ingestion, retention, and automation authorization.
  • Govern Security Copilot workspace access, source permissions, plugins, and agent setup.
