DP-300 Azure SQL Practice Tests: Diagnose, Secure & Recover

About Course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

An Azure SQL incident can turn on one detail: whether writes may pause, which identity owns a permission, or whether a metric describes the actual incident window. These DP-300 practice tests help you use those details to choose an administrative action rather than react to a familiar service name.

Turn operational evidence into a decision

Practise selecting Azure SQL Database, Managed Instance, SQL Server on Azure VMs and migration approaches under workload constraints. Work through authentication, object permissions, network access, encryption and auditing. Compare query plans, waits, Query Store and monitoring evidence before changing capacity or indexes.

Automation and recovery scenarios connect job identity, execution history, backup availability and recovery objectives. For example, serverless scaling does not imply zero idle compute charges unless the relevant pause conditions are satisfied. Every option has feedback, with an overall explanation and study guidance showing why a nearby configuration fails the stated requirement.

Organise revision around weak decisions

The 370 questions comprise four focused tests and two mixed-domain tests of 50 questions with 100-minute timers. Start with migration, security, performance, or automation and availability according to your needs. Review uncertain answers, identify the deciding constraint, then attempt a mixed test without notes.

SQL Server, Azure and basic T-SQL familiarity are recommended. These written questions require no paid Azure account or SQL Server installation. The fixed 50-question mock length and 80% review target are course settings, not a reproduction of Microsoft's exam form or scaled scoring. What Will You Learn?

  • Select Azure SQL Database, Managed Instance, SQL Server on Azure VMs, or hybrid paths from deployment and migration constraints.
  • Trace database authentication, object permissions, network access, encryption, auditing, and row-level controls to the right scope.
  • Use baselines, waits, plans, Query Store, and monitoring evidence before changing indexes, settings, or capacity.
  • Choose automation and deployment actions from job history, execution identity, target scope, and observed results.
  • Compare backup, point-in-time restore, geo-replication, failover groups, and SQL Server HA/DR against recovery objectives.
  • Practice timed cross-domain decisions and review the reason each alternative does or does not meet the requirement.
