Databricks Data Engineer Pro Practice Tests: Pipelines & CDC

About Course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

A pipeline can complete while producing the wrong history, exposing restricted data or repeating an external write. These Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional practice tests help you trace the condition behind those failures and choose a production response supported by evidence.

Follow the data through production

The course targets the exam scope introduced on October 9, 2026. Practise Lakeflow pipelines and Jobs, Python and SQL, ingestion, CDC, VARIANT, AI enrichment, monitoring, optimisation, Unity Catalog, deployment and data modelling. Questions connect sequencing, state, access and release boundaries rather than treating a successful job status as the whole outcome.

Every answer choice has feedback, alongside an overall explanation and study guidance. Code scenarios can expose state leaking between calls, while pipeline cases distinguish replay, late arrival and valid correction. Use the explanations to identify which assumption failed and why the nearest alternative would not preserve the required semantics.

Revise an area, then combine the constraints

The 420 questions comprise four 75-question focused tests and two 60-question mocks with 120-minute timers. Start with a weak domain, examine missed and guessed answers, then attempt a mixed mock without notes after repairing those gaps.

Associate-level data-engineering knowledge and Databricks familiarity are recommended. The mocks model 60 scored questions; the official exam may include additional unscored items within its time limit. The 80% benchmark is a revision target, not an official passing score. This independent written resource supplies no hosted platform lab, official questions or Databricks endorsement.

What Will You Learn?

  • Choose reliable Lakeflow and Structured Streaming designs using explicit recovery, ordering and output requirements.
  • Interpret Python and SQL transformations, VARIANT expressions, quality expectations and AI enrichment results.
  • Diagnose job failures and performance bottlenecks using the evidence that matches the problem.
  • Apply Unity Catalog permissions, governed tags, privacy controls and retention rules to production scenarios.
  • Distinguish table layout, deployment and modeling decisions across two timed practice exams.
