CDMP Metadata Practice Tests: Meaning, Lineage & Governance

About Course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

A catalog may locate a field without telling you whether its definition is approved or its lineage is complete. These CDMP Metadata Specialist practice tests help you combine meaning, source authority, version and operational evidence when making a metadata-management decision.

Distinguish what each record tells you

Practise business, technical and operational metadata, glossaries, semantic relationships, repositories and registry concepts. Compare centralised, distributed and hybrid architectures. Work through harvesting, synchronisation, lineage stitching, impact analysis, stewardship, sensitive metadata, retention and measures of quality or adoption.

Each option has feedback, with an overall explanation and study suggestion. A declared two-hour service target and an observed three-hour run, for example, are different kinds of metadata that together establish a breach. The explanations help you use such records without confusing a requirement, schedule, approved definition or observed outcome.

Build from concepts to cross-domain use

The 320 questions include four 30-question focused sets and two 100-question mocks with 90-minute timers. Begin with the focused sets, explain the condition behind each uncertain answer, then attempt a mock before opening its feedback. Review errors by meaning, authority, architecture, integration, lineage or governance.

DMBOK familiarity is recommended, and your own study materials support deeper review. The scope follows DAMA-DMBOK2 Revised Edition principles with connections to modelling, quality, integration and analytics. Specialist allocations are teaching choices rather than official internal weights. Practice scores do not grant a credential or replace other certification requirements. This is independent written preparation, without official examination questions or DAMA endorsement.

What Will You Learn?

  • Distinguish metadata meaning, source evidence, operational observations and governance status.
  • Evaluate glossary scope, metamodel relationships and interoperable value representations.
  • Choose metadata architectures using freshness, availability and enrichment requirements.
  • Trace lineage and assess change impact with appropriate identity, granularity and version context.
  • Apply stewardship, approval, privacy, licensing and retention constraints to metadata decisions.
  • Interpret coverage, quality, adoption and service metrics using valid populations and criteria.
