About Course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

A server appearing as a traffic source is not necessarily the device reporting the event. A valid incident does not prove the response policy reaches the affected customer. Prepare for Fortinet NSE 6 – FortiSIEM 7.4 Analyst by preserving entity, tenant and processing-stage context as you investigate.

Test the query and detection logic

Practice analytics and CMDB queries, enrichment, nested result sets, correlation rules and subpatterns, incidents, notifications, remediation, machine learning, UEBA and ZTNA. Scenarios distinguish event counts from unique identities and ordered evidence from unrelated activity.

The 320 original questions include four 60-question focused sets and two 40-question, 70-minute mixed mocks. The focused sets help isolate a query, detection or response gap before you combine the tasks.

Explain why the rule missed the target

Every question includes feedback for every choice, a condition-based explanation and a study suggestion. Identify which event field supplies the entity, which set a nested query returns, and which gate controls an action. Review the nearest alternative rather than only checking the marked answer.

Networking, authentication, security-log and SIEM familiarity are recommended. No live FortiSIEM lab, lectures or exam voucher is included.

Coverage follows confirmed FortiSIEM analyst tasks. It excludes the FortiEDR policy block displayed on the official topics page, whose applicability remains unclarified. Mock allocations and the 80% target are study settings rather than official weights or a published cut score. This independent course prepares the product examination, with wider NSE certification requirements separate.

What Will You Learn?

  • Build and diagnose event searches using appropriate organization, time, filters and display fields.
  • Select grouping and aggregation that measure the intended entity and behavior.
  • Enrich event evidence with CMDB properties, lookup tables and nested query results.
  • Design and validate rule subpatterns, temporal relationships, thresholds and activation scope.
  • Investigate and tune incidents while separating detection, clearing, notification and remediation.
  • Choose ML tasks and usable training data, and interpret UEBA activity in context.
  • Trace suspicious-entity watchlists through FortiGate feed consumption and network enforcement.
