About Course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

A low-latency path may still violate inspection policy, and a healthy link may not be the route a session uses. These Fortinet NSE 5 – SD-WAN 7.6 Core Administrator practice tests help you combine steering rules, routing evidence and security requirements before choosing an operational response.

Trace the traffic decision

Work through architecture, direct internet access, members, zones and health checks. Compare manual, quality and cost strategies, traffic matching, local-out behaviour and load balancing. Routing and session questions connect policy routes, destination routes and logs, while FortiManager cases examine templates, deployment evidence and troubleshooting.

Each question includes feedback for every option, an overall rationale and a topic to revisit. When a branch requests direct SaaS breakout but policy requires data-centre inspection, lower delay alone does not authorise bypassing that path. The explanations help you identify which requirement constrains the technically possible choices.

Move from a focused stage to an integrated attempt

The 320 questions include four extended topic sets and two 35-question mocks with 70-minute timers. Begin with the stage behind your weakest answers, review the determining condition, then use a mixed mock to join architecture, steering, routing and deployment reasoning.

Basic networking and FortiGate administration knowledge are recommended. The scope is the Core Administrator exam, rather than the retired Enterprise Administrator examination suggested by some older material. These independent written questions do not provide a hosted appliance lab or official exam items. The 80% threshold is a study target and does not predict Fortinet's pass/fail result.

What Will You Learn?

  • Choose DIA and overlay designs that fit inspection, connectivity and failure-domain requirements.
  • Configure member and zone boundaries, and distinguish reachability from meeting a performance SLA.
  • Compare manual, Best Quality and Lowest Cost selection using the actual eligible candidates.
  • Check matching criteria, policy routes, destination routes and local-out egress before changing preference.
  • Read session, NAT and log evidence without confusing candidate selection with a connection's actual path.
  • Trace FortiManager templates and metadata to installation results on the correct device and VDOM.
  • Select focused diagnostic evidence and validate repairs with both intended and excluded traffic.
