About Course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

A dark screen does not prove a laptop is shut down. A repeated crash does not prove the operating system needs reinstalling. Practice choosing the compatible part, safe prerequisite or useful next test for CompTIA A+ Core 1, 220-1201 V15.

Work from symptoms and constraints

Questions cover mobile devices, networking, hardware, virtualization and cloud, and hardware or network troubleshooting. Compare interfaces, capacity and power requirements; trace which service is failing; and use controlled substitutions to distinguish a component fault from an unsupported diagnosis.

The 460 original questions follow four focused sets and two 90-question, 90-minute mixed mocks. Work through the focused banks in shorter sessions, then combine the domains when you can explain your choices without relying on familiar wording.

Learn what the comparison actually proves

Every question includes a reasoned explanation, feedback for each choice and a review suggestion. Identify the prerequisite in a service guide or the variable isolated by a diagnostic test. Review correct guesses as carefully as incorrect answers, and record the condition that rules out the nearest alternative.

Basic computer and everyday networking familiarity is useful. These written questions complement hands-on study rather than replace it.

This course covers Core 1 only; A+ certification also requires Core 2. It uses single-answer and multiple-answer selection, without interactive performance-based questions. The actual exam can include PBQs and up to 90 questions; the 80% practice target is not a conversion of CompTIA's scaled score. This is independent material without CompTIA endorsement.
